Loading paths

If you have a path selected when you first open Penpal, it will automatically load it. Otherwise, select the path you want to edit in the timeline, and either double-click in an empty part of the canvas or click the reload button to load it in to Penpal.

If you’ve loaded several paths, and you only want to see one of them, select it and right-click anywhere in the panel to bring up the context menu, and click on Solo Path in View.

Loading paths into Penpal

Penpal does not automatically track changes you make to paths outside of it's panel because that could slow your computer down to a crawl. If you make an edit to a path in After Effects' comp panel, you will need to reload in Penpal to see those changes.
